Astronomical Interests

My interest in astronomy has waxed and waned over the years.  My early interest was sparked by the movie Invaders from Mars (1953), and then it caught fire with the launch of Sputnik in 1957.  I began my observational astronomical hobby in 1962 when I received my first telescope, a three-inch reflector.  I can still remember first light; my first telescopic observation being the Pleiades. I still like those clear nights and the enjoyment of the night sky.
