Dumb things about me in no particular order.

1. Travel

Furthest south: Somewhere in Florida.
Furthest north: Err...Northern outskirts of London, England.
Furthest east: Venice, Italy.
Furthest west: Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.

2. Favorite color: Sky blue.

3. My first car: A 1963 Ford Galaxy XL Convertible.

4. What I miss the most: The ocean.

5. Am I a turtle? Yes, "You bet your sweet ass I am."

6. Favorite music: Progressive Rock.

7. Favorite big US city: Chicago.

8. Favorite city (Period!) Paris, France.

9. Favorite wild animals: Whales, dolphins, and eagles.

10. Favorite pets: Dogs.  Not too crazy about cats at the moment.  I lost my cat in October 2007. He fell and ruptured his diaphragm.

13. Favorite TV programs: 1950's: Wicky Wacky Cloud Club;  1960's: Star Trek

14. Favorite paper: Sticky notes.

15. Favorite rock: Mica.

16. Favorite sound: Someone saying: "come and eat."

17. Favorite book: "The Lure of the Labrador Wild."

18. Favorite foods: Home made tortellini. Fresh succotash. The kind my mom used to make.

19. Favorite finger: Middle.

20. Favorite museum: The British Museum.

21. Favorite type of restaurant: A great seafood, French, Mexican, or Thai restaurant with friends.

22. Favorite beach: The beautiful white sand beach at Ogunquit, Maine.

23. Favorite camping place: Hermit Island on Casco Bay in Small Point, Maine.

24. Last cold: In February 2008. It wasn't a bad one but it lasted for a friggin month.

25. Favorite dish: One that has good food in it.

26. Favorite flower: Lily of the Valley.

27. Favorite veggie: Fresh hand picked and cooked ASAP, corn on the cob.

28. Favorite spices: Hotter than hell chili power.  Fresh hand picked  dried oregano and basil.

29. Favorite Colonel: Not Sanders!

30. Favorite planet: You're on it.

31. Favorite sport: Rowing. (I rowed 8-person skulls in high school. Junior Varsity: # 2 position. Varsity: Stroke position)

32. Last peak experience: Summer of 1970, while driving my motorcycle up Mount Mitchell in North Carolina.

33. Favorite mountain: Mount Washington in New Hampshire.

34. Favorite hiking trail: The Appalachian Trail.

35. Second favorite hiking trail(s): The ones found on Hermit island on the coast of Maine.

36. Longest undergraduate paper.  Apx. 74 pages.

37. What I'm most proud of: My kids.

38. Average number of books (not work-related) read in a month: 5

39. Favorite Sci-Fi movie: "The Forbidden Planet."

40. Favorite actress: Jodie Foster.

41. Two things I wish I still owned: My motorcycle and my boat.

42. What I liked to do most when I was a kid:  Water ski and play my axe (As in guitar -- what were you thinking?)

43. Favorite toy: Erector set. I still have it.

44. Favorite everyday bread: Wheat.  Bread I like the most: French. The kind with a hard buttery crust. It's not found in the Midwest!

45. Favorite magazine: "Sky and Telescope."

46. Last time I attended a local party: And you expect me to update this page on a daily basis?

47. Last time I ate good Mexican food in a restaurant:  Hopefully, yesterday.

48. Last time I was really scared: Summer of 1975, when I was suddenly caught up in a racially motivated riot in the North End of Springfield, MA. I was knifed then.

49. What I'm always losing: my cell phone  

50. Favorite soda: Cream soda.

51. Number of root canals: 2.  It will remain at 2.

52. Favorite tent: The one my brother-in-law set on fire. It burnt down in 5 seconds! Campers beware!

53. Farthest out to sea in a rowboat: 11 miles. What are you, nuts?

54. One of the dumbest things I ever did. Go out in the ocean 11 miles in a rowboat.

55. Closest I been to death. Well, I almost went over the dam in a rowboat on the Connecticut River in Holyoke, MA.

56. First time I drove a car:  I was 4.  I drove my dad's car through my grandfather's garage.  Err... the garage door was closed too. 

57. Only time I use salt. When I eat corn on the cob or fresh-picked tomatoes.

58. Political party: Never been to one.

59. Most HATED musician: Mike Oldfield.

60. Favorite Rock group: Currently, it is King Crimson and Evanescence.  

61. What I live on: In my last marriage is was TV dinners.  If it was not for those salty buggers I would of starved to death.  In my first marriage: Well, let's put it this way: she did not know how to boil water.  Now I do my own cooking once again, and I'm a damn good cook too!  My specialty is coq au vin.

62. Current favorite TV program: The food, travel, and home improvement channels.

63. Number of guitars: Two.

64. Number of hammers? 18, if I don't count the rubber kind. I have seven of those. I have one with a leather head too.  Favorite type of hammer: A Warrington hammer.

65. Last time I went over 100 mph in an automobile: 1994.  I believe it was 140 mph. Red-lined that sucker!

66. Cholesterol level as of January 2008: 152

67. Height: 6' 1/4" Weight: 192.  Ideal weight 185.  I'm working on it, and perhaps I already have?. 

68. Shoe size 13

69. Favorite office item.  I'm in to pens.  The ones that light up are way cool.  

70. What I'm looking for:  "I'm looking for someone to change my life; I'm looking for a miracle in my life"  --Moody Blues

71. Favorite winery: Hermann Weimer Vineyard.

72. Favorite power tool. Are you kidding, a drill or a bit brace.

73. Favorite stick: A walking stick.

74  Favorite outdoor concert area: Tanglewood.

75. Favorite compound? Well it's not CO2
