The Crest of Delta Upsilon
|
Founder's Day, November 4th |
On November 4th, 1834, men at Williams College who were tired of secret, political brotherhoods decided to start a society based on anti-secrecy (later to adopt non-secrecy) and non-hazing. This society would eventually become Delta Upsilon International Fraternity. Annually on this day we, as brothers, honor the day we were founded and celebrate what these men stood for. The Culver-Stockton Chapter of Delta Upsilon will be holding its annual Founder’s Day Dinner on Saturday, November 11th. During the dinner we will be honoring four lovely ladies that the brotherhood feels upholds the values and traditions of Delta Upsilon and who give to the house as much as brothers do. These Diamond Girls will be forever held in the highest esteem of the Culver-Stockton Chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. |

The week prior to initiation the new members will go through a series of brotherhood activities with the active members to strengthen their bond and prepare them for their initiation ritual. This is a momentous occasion for all the members of Delta Upsilon past and present. The active chapter is looking forward to welcoming in the Fall 2006 New Members! |

DU Intramural Season is in Full Swing! |
Delta Upsilon has a proud tradition of being involved in the Culver-Stockton community. Intramural sports are just one way that we build positive relations with the college. We encourage all of our members to take part in the many activities that our Fraternity and college have to offer. We field a team in nearly every IM sport, whether it be flag football, volleyball, or softball. Our co-ed softball team, the Phoenix Ducks is arguably our most successful IM venture. Remember the IM leagues are running throughout the academic year, so come out and support your Ducks |
"Delta Upsilon: Too Good To Keep Secret" |
"In relation to other fraternities, Delta Upsilon differs in a major way because it is non- secret. Since our founding in 1834, we have made public the ideals and principles that guide our existence: the Promotion of Friendship, the Development of Character, the Diffusion of Liberal Culture, and the Advancement of Justice. Unlike other fraternities, Delta Upsilon tells you everything that you or your parents want to know about our pledgeship, initiation rites, and what will be expected from you as a member. Your initiation is a very special occasion. While others perform their rites of initiation behind closed doors, we encourage pledges to invite their parents and friends to witness the moment we receive you into our brotherhood, a day you will want to remember for the rest of your life." |
