Article 4: Finances |
Section 1: |
The Treasurer shall bill each member for all charges at least one week prior to the date of payment.

Section 2: |
The pledge fee of the International Fraternity shall be levied upon each pledge at the time of pledging.

Section 3: |
The initiation fee of the International Fraternity shall be levied upon each member at the time of his initiation.

Section 4: |
No brother or pledge will be considered active (given social privileges, voting rights, or be allowed to act for the Chapter in any official function) until his dues are paid in full, the details of which shall be approved be the Executive Board for suspension of full brotherhood rights or expulsion from the fraternity.

Section 5: |
Payment plans will be offered for pledge members only, except under extreme circumstances where the Financial Review Board is called into session to hear those circumstances. The Financial Review Board will have full discretion in validating the petitioner's argument.

Section 6: |
All members who have been active in the Fraternity for the length of one year or any member who has advance knowledge of dues prior to retiring for the summer recess are required to pay chapter dues within one week of returning to college.

Section 7: |
Any member delinquent in payment upon return to college will be placed on immediate suspension and will not be allowed to participate in house or house sponsored activities in any manner. Suspension will remain in effect until chapter dues are paid in full either by cash, check, or credit card deferral.

Section 8: |
Any member who remains on financial suspension for the total of one semester shall be expelled from the Fraternity by means of a Financial Review Board hearing. If, by the time of the Financial Review Board convenes, the member demonstrates financial hardships at school and at home, and has made a genuine effort to obtain the chapter dues, the discretion of dismissal shall be left to the Financial Review Board.

Section 9: |
Those members electing to utilize the credit card deferral method of payment will be subject to a 5 percent surcharge in addition to their regular chapter dues to cover the cost of the service.
