Philantrhopies: |
Our house holds several charity events throughout the school year. Our greatest philanthropic event is our annual Homeless Rally. Every October, our house spends the night in a parking lot, each of us in a cardboard box, to raise donations and awareness for the plight of the homeless. The food and clothing is then donated to the Salvation Army and other charitable organizations in our area. In addition to the annual Homeless Rally, our chapter participates in an annual Hike for the Villages. We hike 15 miles to raise funds for the Villages, a home for battered and abused children. This year our chapter is beginning another philanthropy, Into the Streets. This is a philanthropy in which we give back to the community which has supported the college through the years. |
Relay for Life: |
This event, held each fall in Canton, MO, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is used to raise cancer awareness. The gentlemen of Delta Upsilon come together with local and campus organizations to raise money in support of cancer research. It is an all night event where team members walk around a designated track and participate in hourly activities. Awards are given for best campsite, most team laps, and participation spirit.

Homeless Rally: |
The gentlemen of the Culver-Stockton Chapter of Delta Upsilon hold their annual Homeless Rally in October.
The men of Delta Upsilon portray the everyday lives of the homeless around the United States by sleeping in cardboard boxes in the Quincy Mall parking lot overnight. In our efforts we will raise food, money, and clothing which will be donated to the Canton-Quincy area organizations which help those people who are less fortunate.
We also accept donations at lunch and dinner from the students and staff of Culver-Stockton College.

Into The Streets: |
This is a philanthropy in which we go into the town of Canton, MO and help the community. It is set up through the Chaplain's Office and we always send a majority of the house down to help. In doing this we also pick up some small jobs to complete at a later date and time which were not able to be addressed through the set up function.
